Australian Royal Jelly

Royal Jelly is a chemically complex nutritional source produced by young Nurse Bees as a food for larvae. The Nurse Bees secrete Royal Jelly from glands at the tops of their heads. Although not as well-known as bee pollen, Royal Jelly can rival pollen in the realm of health benefits

For the first two to three days of life, all young larvae feed on Royal Jelly only, while the Queen’s larvae enjoy Royal Jelly as their sole food source throughout their lives. After 3 days of feeding on Royal Jelly, the Worker Bee larvae reach their maximum size; their weight multiplies approximately 250 times. The Queen, feeding exclusively on Royal Jelly throughout her life, reaches maturity five days earlier than the Worker Bees; when fully grown, her weight is double that of the Workers.
